Has anyone ever heard of this? Is this new? http://www.americangirlplace.com/agp..._latenight.php

Having AGP all to yourself and your friends (even if it's just for a few hours)...that sounds like so much fun. But I can't believe how pricey it is.

My bet is that while they won't sell a lot of these, they will sell them to very big spenders (I mean apart from just the cost of the event itself). The competition to give the most over-the-top birthday party is fierce in certain areas, my own included. If this had been available when my daughter was little, I'm sure she would have gone at least once.

BTW, the only similar event I've seen was an all-nighter at our local aquarium. Can you imagine all night at AGP? You get to be there when the dollies come alive!

It is pricey, but how cool! I wish I was wealthy, I would so do it for my daughter's b-day. I hear ya on the over the top b-day parties. Recently my dd went to a party where the girls took a limo to the mall to pick out some new earrings at Claire's. Sheesh. Whatever happened to cake and ice cream at home? (Man I'm starting to sound like my mom )

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The all-time over-the-top birthday party that either of my kids ever went to was one to which my daughter was invited when she was about nine. I forget which movie it was, but that year some HUGE kids's movie was eagerly anticipated. The birthday girl had a private, preview screening of it a week before it came out and before even reviewers had seen it! Ten little girls got together in a movie theater rented especially for the event, were served popcorn, etc. by clowns hired for the occasion, and watched the movie. My daughter absolutely loved it.

Yes, I remember seeing that once when I was looking around the AGP website info. It does sound very pricey! The guests get a $30 Gift Certificate for the $225 per guest price. I'm sure the activities would be fun but I think I'd prefer to get a couple of dolls for the $225 price per guest!

It's always neat to dream about being in a place like AGP after hours.

and....it's a minimum of 15 guests, so that comes out to a whopping $3,375.00!

    That's some party alright!

Wow, a scavenger hunt...wouldn't that be fun? I would love this, too. But, boy the minimum is 15 girls...that comes out to $3,375!

That party has been around a bit so they must be making money from it. Of the girls I know, I think all of them would rather have me hand them a $225 check than a private party at AGP. I guess it's an offering for the rich and famous. If I was rich enough, I just might go for it.

Let's see... that means you can get 33 dolls plus $75 left over.

I saw that awhile ago and I've always wanted to do it. Not like we have the money though!

    Yeah I know!

I'd looooove that, but even I agree that's a bit much!

A scavenger hunt WOULD be fun though! Imagine going up and down the escalators, running around AGP like it's your home

    That would be really fun!
